Location
This photo was taken in my parents' garden. They don't have animals, I borrowed them from a neighbor to take some photos. My son in this photo was 20 months old.Time
It was at the sunset, around 7-8pm.Lighting
The lighting is only natural light. It's a backlit photo. It means that the sun in front of the photographer, behind the model.Equipment
It was taken With Sony A7 and a manual Samyang 85mm 1.4. It was very difficult to take a photo of a running child with a manual lens. I'm happy that I managed to take a sharp photo.Inspiration
Just life. I had no idea beforehand. The neighbor told me about the gees he had and I asked if I could take some photos. My kids were thrilled to play a little with the animals. I guess in a way it's a lifestyle photo but has that magical fine art feeling. Maybe this is why so meny people liked it.Editing
I had to composite to a little, I took the goose from a different photo to have it sharp as well. It was at the same grass, with the same angle and the same light so it was not very difficult. apart from that, I added a little vignette and desaturated yellows, sharpened and exported. In my camera bag
Right now I have 2 camera bodies: Sony A7II and A7III and 3 lenses: Sigma 50mm 1.4, Sony 85mm 1.4 and Zeiss 135mm 1.8, I sometimes take Sigma 20mm 1.4 with me as well.Feedback
Well the most difficult part is to get a child and an animal sharp so I would advise taking a lot of photos and be ready to composite in the end. You might be lucky to take a great shot without compositing but well, it's good to take it into account that you can always use Photoshop. So take a lot of photos of the child and the animals. Try to keep the same angle and the same direction against the light so it's easy to stitch those photos. And let the kids be kids and not force them to pose, let them run.
