Behind The Lens

Location
I was returning from a walk with my dog Timi, so I took this photo right before arriving home.
Time
It was getting dark, when I noticed a beautiful butterfly just sitting there on the grass.
Lighting
The beautifully lit grass and butterfly, combined with the dark background seemed to me like it would produce a beautiful photograph.
Equipment
I did not have my macro lens with me, so I had to use my Canon EF 100-400 mm f/4,5-5,6 L IS USM with a 1,4 II Extender, mounted on my Canon 5D Mark III.
Inspiration
The lighting was simply gorgeus, I just had to lay down on the road a bit to get the perspective I desired. It was truly an amazing sight.
Editing
As I shoot most of my photos in RAW format, I of course had to develop the image to jpeg. Some basic adjustments like contrast, sharpening were applied to the photo to make it pop out even more.
In my camera bag
It would depend where I go to, normally (when I am on a quest for wildlife photography) I take my Canon 5D Mark III along with the Canon EF 100-400 mm f/4,5-5,6 L IS USM lens, other times my Sigma 70-200 f/2,8 OS HSM, my Tamron 90 mm f/2.8 VC USD Macro, and one standard zoom lens (Canon 28-70 mm f/2.8 L USM or Canon 24-85 f/3,5-4,5 USM) along with an external flash.
Feedback
There is beauty all around us. Nature is wonderful. Simply go outside and explore. There are many rewarding sight to be seen. Just keep your eyes open. =)
