Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at the zoo. I am a true amateur, so I was quite surprised to see how well it came out considering I did not know about composition and light at the time.

Time

It was taken in the mid afternoon. It was incredibly hot and sticky, I thought it would fly away into the cooler surroundings, but it let me take a snapshot first, awesome.

Lighting

You know, if only I would have known about the lighting, maybe this shot would have made into the hall of fame. HeHe!!

Equipment

Canon. It was a used camera, and it took a great shot. No tripod, or flash that I remember.

Inspiration

The beauty of seeing birds and animals up close. I want to keep the feelings of absolute awe and wonder that I felt, and when I look back at the pictures I gasp!!

Editing

I did not even know what post-processing was.

In my camera bag

I enjoy the Canon 70-300 zoom lens. I try to get a lot of detail and this works great for distance and up close. Also the 18-55 macro.

Feedback

Well, I think if you see something incredible to you, you should take the shot. Sometimes, I have noticed, I get caught up in the composition, the right light, the colors, and end up loosing what could have been spectacular. I love photography. Thanks to all at view bug for giving me inspiration, and for being kind. Every shot is a learning experience for me, and everyone here has given me the hope that I can only get better. Thank you.
