Awesome shot, love how the baby monkey is staring down your lens at you :)

Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken on a holiday in Thailand It was taken from a small boat in mangroves they were out away from land the only way to get to them was over the water

Time

It was a very hot day and took quite a while to reach the colony

Lighting

the lighting was very harsh

Equipment

I used a Nikon D600 and Tamron 28-300mm zoom

Inspiration

It was a great opportunity to get shots of Macaques in their habitat a chance in a lifetime

Editing

I processed the photo with Affinity Photo and Topaz Sharpen as there was movement with the boat .

In my camera bag

I now use Nikon D 780 as I dropped the D600 on a camera club outing (first outing after lock down for Covid 19) my go to lens is Tamron 28-300 mm zoom I also have a Tamron 150-600mm zoom G1 for bird photography and Tamron 90mm for macro work

Feedback

I would recommend any one visiting Thailand to look up this outing the access to the boat is not for the faint hearted it was an experience in it self not a modern facility you step of a very rough post onto the boat (more like a canoe)and travel for what seemed hours but in reality was about 20minutes after visiting the colony you travel on to an oyster farm which took awhile again but could have been easily left out of the tour
