Awesome! I feel this is the best location to view the bridge and the city.

Location
I took this image of the Golden Gate Bridge from the Marin Headlands National Park near Battery Spencer.Time
I got up and drove to the location about 1 hour before sunrise and took this image just before the sun rose over the city.Lighting
I wanted a great sunrise picture of the city but had to time it just right where it was still dark enough to get the city lights at the same time as the beautiful color in the sky from the sunrise.Equipment
I used my Nikon D800, with a Nikon 16-35mm f/4, on my Manfrotto 190PROCX4 Tripod. I also used my Nikon MC-36A cable release to make sure there was no camera shake and to make an exposer over 30 seconds.Inspiration
I used to live in the Bay Area but moved to Virginia when I joined the Navy. I wanted to take this picture to hang in my house to help remind me of home.Editing
Yes, I used Lightroom CC for basic color correction. In my camera bag
Nikon D800, Nikon 7100, Nikon 70-200mm F/2.8, Nikon 16-35mm F/4, Sigma 35mm F/1.4, Nikon SB-910, Manfroto 190PROCX4 Tripod, Nikon MC-36A, Lee Big Stopper, B+W CP Filter Pocketwizards Plus III (x2).Feedback
Make sure you wake up early to catch the best light. Use a tripod and a cable release to make sure there is no camera shake. Go to www.bdeweyphoto.com to check out more of my work
