I shot this with a Sony SLT-A65 using the standard kit 55mm lens.Inspiration
I loved the look of that car sitting there on a trailer. I walked around it a few times looking through my lens trying to find the best composition. I found this angle was best to really showcase the car and give it that old west feel.Editing
The only post-processing I used was the editing through viewbug. I adjusted the saturation and contrast. In my camera bag
I like to keep my 300mm zoom lens and 50mm fixed prime in my bag as well as my 55mm kit lens. I keep a ND filter and tripod in my vehicle at all times because I never know when an opportunity for a good shot may occur.Feedback
Be creative and look through the lens from many different angles. I had to get down pretty low to get this shot. The trailer this was sitting on was only a few feet off the ground. Trust your instincts and start shooting. Take shots from a lot angles and different heights. Adjust your white balance accordingly along with your other settings. Try some on board settings such as HDR painting, pop color, selective color, monochrome, etc to see how they add drama to your photo. Have fun most of all!
