Location
I took this photo in Iroquois N.Y.Time
This was around 12:00pm, my husband and i like to travel around the area getting shots of anything we can find usually we find a lot of Herons, ducks, birds of all kinds or ospreys but this time we had just stopped to get some lunch and this little guy flew in from a wetlands area right in front of us so i grabbed my camera and got a quick of him.Lighting
This was a slightly overcast day which i think brought a little more of his color and the blurred out green just helped make his color pop.Equipment
I used a canon EOS 20D camera and my lens was a 100-400 MM lens.Inspiration
I have always enjoyed the beautiful colors that some birds have and always try to capture that color with my camera so when this little guy landed right in front of me i couldn't resist getting the shot.Editing
I enhanced the color a little and sharpened the picture to bring out more detail.In my camera bag
At the time i took this shot i had a canon EOS 20D camera and a 24-85MM lens with a 100-400MM lens but i have upgraded to a canon EOS 70D 18-135MM lens and a 150-600 MM lens, i don't use tripods usually.Feedback
My advice to other photographers is just be ready for the unexpected shot you never know when there will be something fantastic waiting for you to capture like this little guy he just flew right in front of me like he was just daring me to get his picture, always be prepared :)
