Location
The photo taken in a salt lake in Tigaki village in Kos Greece.Time
At sunset is always a good time to take the shot, the lighting is smooth and the colors are beautiful.Lighting
Light is changing rapidly specially at golden hour, in the specifc shot the sun was on the left and that directional cloud gave me beautiful colors.Equipment
I have used a crop Nikon d5300 with a wide angle Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens in a tripod and a 10 stop firecrest filter.Inspiration
Those branches as come out of the water they look awesome, the lake waters reflects the clouds as heading towards us and add dynamic in the scene.Editing
Basic adjustments in LR and Photoshop to boost colors, shadows. In my camera bag
Nikon d5300 - Nikon 50mm f/1,8 Tokina 11-16mm f/2,8 soft graduated filters, 10 stop filter, Tripod.Feedback
Spend time to prepare your shot, is very important if you can visualize in your head what you want to shoot, be at least 30 minutes at the spot you want to shoot before sunset or sunrise, get your gear ready and find the right angle, don't hesitate to take test shot or change to spot you are. Remember that if you are using 5-6-10 stop filter for long exposure that time do matter, so be ready for the right click. Always shot in RAW 14bit if possible, give you more information to edit later in post.
