Behind The Lens

Location
I made this shot of a Gerbera flower on my kitchentable.
Time
It's was in the evening
Lighting
There is a spotlight straight above the table an the flower was directley under the lightsource.
Equipment
I Usedom my Canon 700D with a Sigma 105mm Macrolens - one of my favourite lenses.
Inspiration
The bright Color that was bouncing from the single leaves where where awesome. When i took the first shot i thought a need some eyecatcher spot. So i put a single waterdrop to get a spot wich leads your eye.
Editing
The onely thing i did was a littlebit of sharpening and cropping.
In my camera bag
I'm always trying to keep my Equipment als simple als possible. So i force myself to be creative with the point of view. But wehen i'm travelling i use the Canon 18-135mm an my fantastic plastic 50mm 1.8 prime lens. So i'm able to take pictures from wideagle to zoomed in detail. The 50mm prime is great for Urban street photography even in lowlight. Other basic stuff are battery packs and my cleaning set and memorycards. On other missions i'm packing my macro lens, my flashlight, tripod, ND filters etc.
Feedback
Beauty can be found everywhere in everything. Keep your eyes open and your camera ready. Sometimes you can see the unusual by combining usual things. Using different lights, filters and point of view.
