Location
I took this photo at the western beach of Kalamata. Kalamata is a town in Peloponnese, at southern Greece.Time
It was late in the afternoon, about 5 pm.Lighting
Even though it was still summer, which normally is hot and sunny without any clouds for this area in Greece, that specific day we had a cloudy sky, and some rain as well. This motivated me to go out hunting for a special shot.Equipment
A SONY a200 camera was used, with a SONY DT 3.5-5.6/18-70 lens, and a VELBON tripod. This was an HDR shot.Inspiration
The primitive look of the hut next to the rocks, against the dramatic sky. I imagined that a prehistoric man would walk out of the hut or the cave next to it at any moment! Everything had come into place for me that day...Editing

Look for unusual weather. Prefer to go out early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Try various angles for shooting, don't be afraid to get dirty by laying down to shoot, and take a lot of shots. One of them could be the right one for your taste!
