Location
I live in a small town called Oak Harbor, Ohio. The owner of the local antique store had it parked out front.Time
The shot was taken in the middle of a very hot summer day.Lighting
The lighting was all natural, blazing sun.Equipment
This was one of my first shots with my new Nikon D7100. I used a Nikon wide angle zoom as well.Inspiration
Are you kidding...you just don't see this sort of thing in my town.Editing
Yes, lots of post processing. PS Elements for exposure comps and cropping, Topaz Labs "Adjust" for "the look" and final tweeks with On1.In my camera bag
Nikon D7100, Nikon 18-85mm, Nikon 55mm-300mm, ND filters, polarizing filters, lens cleaning kit, Nikon 600 flash, spare batteries, storage discs.....Feedback
I always look for the unique perspective any subject can give me. As well, I always try to fill the frame as much as possible while maintaining good composition. In this case, I new if I got close enough with the wide angle, the size of the wheel would distort just enough making the view a bit different, out of proportion or..."unique".
