What I really like about your composition is the background. You have included the important aspect of a rocky mountain backdrop that leads the viewer's eye down to the depths of the gorge below. This emphasizes the heights that your two subjects have either climbed or are about to descend. Questions arise . . are they coming up or going down? . .are they at the beginning of a journey, the end, or midway between? Both subjects . .man and horse look sturdy enough to make the trip and you have captured them nicely.
