Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken From Lake Ontario, facing Toronto. I was on a canoe facing the city.

Time

This was taken in the summer afternoon

Lighting

This day was sunny, but with intervals of cloudy cover.

Equipment

I used a T31 (600D) Canon, using natural light.

Inspiration

the clouds first caught my attention, but then realize that it was a great background to the skyline of Toronto.

Editing

Since lake Ontario is never still, I instead edit the lake as the reflection of the city, with some distortion and wave effect to simulate the water effect.

In my camera bag

My bag typically has the 24-105 lens and a 70-300 mm lens. I also carry a tripod, extra battery, ND filter and CP filter.

Feedback

these type of cloud formation appears only during the daytime and almost always disappears right before sunset. So timing is crucial.
