Behind The Lens

Location

We had gone to look at a little church on the outskirts of Weston in a place called Uphill. We walked through a small wooded area and then across some fields, on crutches this is none to easy but I made it

Time

We started walking late afternoon and as we broke through the wodded area we noticed the sun was going down, there were not plane lines in the are, it was still and we just walked ot the edge of the fields to watch the sun setting.

Lighting

The lighting was increible due to the Icelandic volcanic eruptions. The oranges were just amazing and I just kept clicking away

Equipment

A Canon 20D, no tripod, Nothing else

Inspiration

we had noticed that for a few days there had been no plane trails in the sky and I felt well enough for a walk to see if we could see a perfect sunset because of it as I rememer that a particular artist had mentioned that when Ktrakatoa erupted in 1883, he captured coliurs in the sky that he had never seen before

Editing

None. I did not want to ruin the real colours

In my camera bag

Nowadays I have a Canon 60d, 2 cheap video cameras and 2 cheap adventrue cameras and so many batteries

Feedback

If there is anything unusual about the weather, go got for it, you never know what you might capture. And in todays age of digitial click away, change settings somewhere amongst all the photos may be the one
