Behind The Lens

This picture was taken in the hallway at the fifth story window of a very old downtown building.
The picture was taken in the early evening. The natural light from the window is incredible.
This photo was taken with ambiant natural light.
I have a Cannon T3i and used my Canon EF 50mm f1.8 II lens. I hope to upgrade my kit in the future, but for now, I am very happy with the results I'm getting. I think I have to work, slightly harder to get results that I am happy with, but I hope that it will make me a better photographer as a result.
We wanted to tell a story of a woman waiting for her lover to return.
I did some basic skin retouching for the image. I want the image to remain as natural as possible.
In my camera bag
Currently, I'm shooting with my Canon T3I, I have my kit lens as well as a Canon EF 50mm, and Canon EF-S 55-250mm. I have an assortment of ND filters, and a polarizer. I have a great light weight tripod which has worked well though out my travels and in studio. As much as I would love a new camera and more lenses, I have to admit, the equipment I have, has allowed me to explore my creativity and offered unique results.
Find a subject you are passionate about. Think about what emotion you want your image evoke. Think about how you can create a story with that subject and emotion.
