This was a little planning and a little getting lucky. I live near lots of oil fields, and I think some of the equipment makes potentially interesting pictures. For this one, the moisture or dust in the air was right to make the rising sun a glowing ball you could look at while I was headed out of town. I wanted to zoom in on it to make it bigger, but had to race along to find an object at the right angle to give size perspective before the sun got too high and I missed my chance.
