Location
Taken on the trail from Manarola to Corniglia, Cinque Terre, Italy, in July 2015, in the end of an already long trip across the MediterraneanTime
This was taken in the afternoon after a long walk, that could have been longer since some sections of the Cinque Terre trails were closed due to land slides, unfortunatellyLighting
I wanted to be able to capture all the feelings this small village transmits to everyone that visits it, all the colorful palette, and the "smell" of the sea you can almost feel just by looking to the pictureEquipment
It was taken with a simple Panasonic DMC TZ-40, that altough small and portable, already took some awesome memories with it, like this oneInspiration
The inspirational sources were many during this trip, that started in the Balkans, first in Croatia, then across Bosnia and Montenegro, and finally Italy, ending in Pisa. Such wonderful memories, unique experiences, and nice people that I met along all the cities I visited, this was the perfect way to end my trip before getting back homeEditing
The only thing I felt the need to do was to increase the exposure a little bit, to be make the colors feel more authenticIn my camera bag
In the meantime I was able to make a small investment in a better camera, a mirrorless one, with a 14-42mm 3.5-4.2 lens, and a wide, fisheye, 7.5 Samyang Lens. And there is also this very small tripod coming along, that could be useful to capture images with longer exposuresFeedback
The secret about this image is...that there is no secret. This place is perfect enough for everyone to be able to capture all the beauty this image may transmit, but what's really worth it is to visit the place and actually experience it in person
