View from a window of a historic landmark in Old Fishtown, Leland Michigan. It was Fourth of July weekend, and having this patriotic scene from our restaurant table seemed a perfect fitting. At 6pm, on the button, the owner respectfully took the Flag down. It was a touching moment to witness their daily personal routine. The glare from the window is not camera perfect, but at the same time, a reminder of me being privy to an inside world while peeking to the outside beyond my table.

Love this composition. There's much to discover in the photo. While the flag is the focus, the photo is rich with interesting details such as the cross in the window, the green steps to the water, the ropes, the colorful air tank, and more.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful impressions. Greatly appreciated :) This shot was taken from a window as it was the only access to this view. The couple who lives here were sitting on their dockside porch minutes before. Shortly after they went inside, the flag was respectfully taken down promptly at 6pm. This is an All American humble abode so worthy of an image. I didn't want to be intrusive so accepted the position of having to capture the beauty via a window. I do love that I was able to get the shot. Witnessing their daily respectful routine was an honor. Thank you again:)
