Not sure you ever got my reply, angelobruno. It's called Agriturismo Alpe Lareccchio in the Piedmont region in Italy. It was close to a long distance trail called the Grande Traversata delle alpi. It was so beautiful, that we diced to ta e a break from the trail and stay a couple of days. As the name says it's a little Alpine Heaven.

Haha, yes it's real. Saw it with my own eyes through my own lens. The place was so beautiful I had to call the picture Alpine Heaven. There are some beautiful places on our planet. Hope you find many, rjmproductions ;)

Location
This shot was taken in the north west of Italy called the Piedmont. I was doing a long distance hike called the GTA (Grande traversata della alpi) with a few friends in 2013. The refudio we wanted to stay was closed, so we looked on the map for a close alternative. We arrived in this beautiful valley after hiking further and fell in love with the place. We took a break from our hike and stayed there for three days, doing day tours, as it was so lovely there. It is called ALpe Lerecchio.Time
It was early evening /late afternoon.Lighting
Hot summer day in the alps and a lot of hard light.Equipment
It was a hand held HDR shot (3 exposures) taken with my SONY NEX7 and the Kit lens. Nothing fancy.Inspiration
It drives me outside, makes me wonder about the world and look and things more carefully with a lot more patience. I like the calm feeling just before pressing the shut, when one captures the moment. It something meditative. I also love the immediacy and quick feedback one gets from digital cameras nowadays. And there is always an unexpected factor to it all. You can plan all you want, but you never know what kind of shots you end up with.Editing
Yes this one was done in PHOTOMATIX tomemerging the three exposures and some slight adjustments in Aperture. In my camera bag
I tried to keep it light. SONY NEX7 and kit lens usually dothe trick when hiking, although I have a bunch of different lenses and tripods. Gonna upgrade to Full Frame soon.Feedback
Go hiking. Go out. Be patient. Try to find lovely places and wait for good light. Luck comes to the persistant.
