Another exceptional capture of this sea cave! Adding the photographer (you?) was genius, and placement was perfect. Very inspirational.

Location
On the Lake Superior shore near Munising, MichiganTime
This photo was shot at sundown. I captured this scene while exploring it with a photographer friend of mine (pictured). We exited the cave, wading out through the Great lake and through the woods in near darkness.Lighting
I was thankful to have fairly even light for this photograph with the intensity of the sunset sky being tamed by the clouds on the horizon, but not enough to kill the beautiful colors.Equipment
Canon EOS 5D Mark III with Canon EF 16-35mm II L lens, Manfrotto tripod, B+H Kaseman circular polarizerInspiration
I had seen some other photographers' captures and knew that if I could be there with a cooperating beautiful sundown sky, that I might be able to shoot a keeper.Editing
This photo is an HDR image comprised of six captures. In my camera bag
Canon EOS 5D, Canon EOS 7D, Canon 16-35mm L, Canon 100-400 L, Canon 28-105mm L, Canon 100mm Macro L, Hoodman loupe, Manfrotto Tripod, Lee filtersFeedback
Capturing this scene as I witnessed it would be impossible with one exposure. Capturing multiple exposures and combining them later with my own semi-manual technique and workflow was essential to record both dark cave interior along with a relatively bright sky.
