An early spring sunset over the wrecked West Pier in the City of Brighton, East Sussex, England. Opened in 1866 it started to deteriorate in the mid 1970's and was subsequently damaged by the elements and then by two fires in 2003. All that remains now is this sorry looking framework and basically nothing more than a giant birdcage - being a haven for seagulls and a night time roost for thousands of Starlings.
