Location
From its humble beginning as a small, this Cathedral is actually 4th building to bear that name. The parishioner started it a log chapel and becomes a Great Temple On The Prairie, The St. Paul Cathedra and place where I took this is in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA.Time
The winter started already by the time I took this photo and the exact time was 10:27 AM.Lighting
The Cathedral does not allow photographer to use flash but they allowed to use tripod. So I used my tripod to capture the artificial light of the cathedral.Equipment
I used the Manfrotto 190XPROB Tripod, Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EF8-15mm F/4L Fisheye USM. Canon Timer Remote Controller TC-80N3.Inspiration
I was inspired by the design of the architect. It has the most fascinating architectural work and of course not being biased because I am a Catholic I love this as worship place. I love the lighting inside and of course I love the peaceful surrounding.Editing
I did HDR in this photo. I exposed to light, i exposed to mid tones and I exposed to shadow and do the HDR in photoshop wight he used of Nik Software. In my camera bag
I have 4 cameras in each camera ha canon lenses depending on what type of photography I will be taking photo with. I have 2 Heliopan Circular Polarizers, 2 Heliopan ND filters, Canon Timer Controller TC-80N3 and Manfrotto 190XPROB tripodFeedback
Planning is very important when taking photos. Include in your planning the gadgets you will use to get the effect you wanted to see. Plan to what type of building and where to shoot it. Do a little of research. Wear proper attire like when you are shooting in Minnesota where there is plenty of snow and the snow seems to finish in 9 months so you need to look for that. Then don't forget to ask permission so you will know what are allowed and not allowed in the building. Don't forget to say thank you and be happy.
