Outstanding. Fabulous capture. I love flowers and have many up. This one is a real beauty.

Location
This photo was taken in my dining room . I have a bay of about 7 windows and it provides beautiful natural light.Time
I'm not sure of the exact time of day but most likely mid to late afternoon.Lighting
The light coming in the windows is a beautiful soft light and I set up a lot of still life and flowers using this natural light source.Equipment
Surprisingly I took this before I had a macro lens lens for DSLR and I just couldn't get what I wanted with any other lens that I had so I took this with my Cannon Powershot S95 set on macro. This point and shoot camera really puts out a great quality image!Inspiration
The stargazer lilly is my favorite flower and I wanted some images for my walls. The light was right, so i just started shooting and this was one of my favorites.Editing
I did very minimal post processing on this image. Just cleaning up the background a bit and a little bump in saturation to make the colors pop a bit more.In my camera bag
I'm a believer in the photographer makes the photo not the camera so I still a pretty old camera but it gets the job done. I usually use a Nikon D200 or a D1x. I have a few lenses to cover most of what I would need. There is the 70-200, a 90mm macro, 28-70 and a 17-55 that always come with me.Feedback
The best advice I can give is keep shooting and trying different angles. I shot a lot to get this one. Depth of field with macros can be difficult and sometimes using a tripod makes things easier. In this case trying different lenses and even different cameras worked for me.
