Location
This is taken at Horse Shoe Lake in Jasper National ParkTime
This was taken at around noon where the sun was overheadLighting
The light was perfect that day. The sun being high in the sky helped to give the cliff side crevices great shadows, to help with the look.Equipment
I used my Nikon D700. I graduated from a camera where the lense was fixed to this one. The camera was hard at first to work with. A steady hand was my tripod. I used a AF-S Nikkor 59mm 1:1.8G lense.Inspiration
With my new camera, I wanted to try reflection and clarity, a photo bucket list I made for myself. The color of the Glacier mountain lakes are amazing emerald colour which is amazing contrast to the cliff side. The clear quiet lake made a wonderful mirror image.Editing
Only thing I did in my Lightroom program is up the clarity of the photo and contrast to give it deep Colour. In my camera bag
I like to always carry my tripod, never know when I will need a steady shot. I make sure I have a fresh battery and my lense cloth as well as a few polarize lenses for glare.Feedback
Look for an interesting part of your photo, something different that maybe someone would not think of, like an different angle. I always like to think outside the box for I know a lot of photographers will also have that look. If it's bright in the day, look for an area without the bright sunlight beating on the subject, or the use of a polorized lense will help a lot to keep glare down. I usually if I can, stand in the shadow of a tree to keep the glare off the lense.
