Behind The Lens

Location

Wheelersburg, OH This was in an elderly gentlemen's side yard, almost with a lot of other farming equipment. He said this was saved from the gas station he used to work at when he was younger.

Time

This was in the middle of the day, close to noon.

Lighting

I love challenging light, and overhead/noon lighting is my favorite. You have the ability to create dramatic shadows and really let colors shine.

Equipment

Nikon D5000 and 24-70mm lens.

Inspiration

The contrasting colors of red and green, plus with the barn behind it on such a beautiful day... the image created itself almost.

Editing

Nope!

In my camera bag

I shoot with a Nikon D750 now and still use the same lens. I'm a creature of habit. I like to carry the bare minimum and rely on those to give me dependable results or allow me to tinker with the image in the camera.

Feedback

Just shoot! Even if you shoot the same subject over and over, you'll learn something new and capture surprises!
