Location
The Photo was taken in Alberta, near the town of Drumheller. (Highway 10 East, Drumheller, AB). Hoodoos take millions of years to form and stand 5 to 7 metres tall. Each hoodoo is a sandstone pillar resting on a thick base of shale that is capped by a large stone. Hoodoos are very fragile and can erode completely if their capstone is dislodged thus no climbing allowed. There are many other photo opportunities in the Drumheller area, which is considered Badlands. Badlands are regions marked by intricate erosional sculpturing, scanty vegetation, and fantastically formed hills. Or, to put it plainly, Badlands are just what the name implies: land that is bad (bad for growing crops, that is). In this area many dinosaur fossils have been found and Drumheller has a great dinosaur museum. The Royal Tyrrell Museum is Canada’s only museum dedicated exclusively to the science of palaeontology and this museum houses one of the world’s largest displays of dinosaurs.Time
Around 14:30 hourLighting
Summer time, light til after 22:00 hour so at 14:30 hour light was more than satisfactory, My province is known as Sunny Alberta, we have bright sunlight most times of the year.Equipment
Fujifilm ...finepix S1000(fd)Inspiration
The entire Drumheller, Badland area has my camera clicking even more than usual. The sand rocks in the area change colour quite dramatically with the changing light during the day. My goal is to go there in winter sometime, when there is some snow but not metres of snow as this would only make a whiteout.Editing

Relax, take your time, enjoy. Get inspired by what you see and try to capture what you feel when looking at something. Try to capture that feeling with your cameras lens.
