Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Fort Fisher, in Carolina Beach, NC. The rocks that divide the fort from the beach are amazing!

Time

It was taken at around 3pm. The sun was extremely bright that day, but it worked

Lighting

This was all natural lighting

Equipment

This was shot with a Canon 7d with a 50 1.8

Inspiration

I'd had this image in my head of a woman controlling a storm forever. When the opportunity arose to shoot at the rocks, I knew this would work just as I pictured.

Editing

I do a ton of post processing to all of my conceptual pieces. The main thing done was obviously the sky. It was a beautiful, blue day, but I wanted storm.

In my camera bag

Now a Canon 6d, 50mm 1.4, tripod, wireless remote

Feedback

Be brave! If you want to create a piece of art, go out and do it. Don't be afraid of messing it up.
