I love tall ships. I love photos of the Milky Way. Naturally, I am loving this (and others) photo. Don't take it the wrong way, but I think of Peter Pan and Captain Hook when I see this.

Behind The Lens

Location
This photo is a combination of several images and artistic creation.
Time
The ship was captured around midday on a very still winters day. The sky was captured not log after sunset.
Lighting
The stars lit up the sky, and the lantern light was created in Photoshop.
Equipment
Canon 6D + EF 200mm ƒ2.8 lens (Ship) and Samyang 24mm ƒ1.4 for the sky.
Inspiration
This piece was inspired by Pirate's of the Caribbean. I wanted to create something slightly haunting, but beautiful.
Editing
As this is a composite, then definitely! Ship + Sky + land wer blended together, then I created the fog with a custom brush.
In my camera bag
2 x cameras and a selection of prime lenses.
