Location
At homeTime
It was late evening. My younger son was already asleep but the older one was still wanted to play.Lighting
The light was coming only from the candles. The room was completely dark. I did not use any flash.Equipment
I used Sony A77 and a 35mm 1.8 lens. I did not use any tripod or flash.Inspiration
I was inspired by other photographs I found online where kids were blowing candles. I wanted to try that, learn a little about the technique and spend some time with my son. He loves blowing the candles and I love taking photos.Editing
Post processing was very simple. Lightroom adjustments, sharpening. In my camera bag
I carry my Sony A7 and two lenses: A 50mm 1.4 by Canon and 85mm 1.4 by Samyang. My bag is usually full of other stuff for my kids, my two favorite models, such as extra clothes, something to drink, small toys.Feedback
In this kind of shot you get very little light so be careful when setting the camera. Use the widest aperture and choose a shutter speed that will allow you to take a sharp photo. To high ISO may destroy the detail in your photo so try to keep it the lowest possible. The reason I used 3 candles was the fact that 3 gave me much more light that one. Plus I got a more interesting composition.
