I took quite a while to find the perfect angle for this photograph. I wanted a completely green background without any other color to compete with the brilliant red hues of the foreground flower. The aperture had to be perfect - I didn't want full bokeh, and I didn't want to see the clear definition of the foliage surrounding it. I wanted something in between, and I got it.
