Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken near Sundre, Alberta while on a camping trip. I went to the river to tire out my dogs before the drive home and decided I better take advantage of the amazing scenery.Time
I took this photo around 2pm. The dogs had just finished playing in the river.Lighting
I didn't use anything special for lighting. I just had my camera and one lens with me at the time.Equipment
This photo was taken with a Nikon F7100. I didn't use a tripoff. The lens was my nikkor 55-300mm.Inspiration
My husband and I were getting ready to head home after camping on the long weekend. We decided to let the dogs play in the river before the drive home. The scenery was amazing, so I decided to take advantage of it. The dogs were worn out so they posed pretty nice too.Editing
I edited the photo in Adobe lightroom. I had to adjust the shadows so the dogs faces were more visible. I also added a little more contrast so it looks more like a painting.In my camera bag

When taking pet photos don't be afraid to get dirty, try different angles (take photos from above them, lay on the ground..) - you can try making funny noises to get there attention - have fun ????
