Mowgli is the blackest of black cats I have ever seen with the whitest of white whiskers. My daughter's cat who is spoilt to death.

I think the correct common name is Blue Waxbills.
A small bird that is very common and wide spread in South Africa

Possibly not the handsomest animal in the kingdom but they are full of character.
