Location
This photo was taken using the natural light, without flash, outdoor in the shade.Time
Evening time.Lighting
With this image I wanted to accomplish the same effect that I would if I was using artificial source of light (like flash) by using natural daylight.Equipment
For this image I used Canon 7d camera with the Canon Macro EF-S 60mm F/2.8. I like shooting portraits with this particular lens because it gives very crisp focused portraits with shallow depth of field blurry backgrounds.Inspiration
This portrait is one of classical fashion modeling position - it is nothing original, nor special regarding the posing of the model - but amazingly it always works. I like the mystery about it, one eye hidden and the other just revealing enough of something…you tell me what!?Editing
This photo is a bit post-processed. For post-procesing my images I like to use Lightroom in combination with CS6. On this particular image I enhanced model's eye a bit. Photo was taken as the RAW file so I enhanced the colors using Lightroom. And of course color is turned into mono mode - I did lose beauty of models green eye but it looks more dramatic in mono.In my camera bag
In my camera bag I carry Canon EOS 7d. Tamron 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II and Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro. Just recently, to my camera bag I added wide angle Canon lens EF-S 10-22 mm f/3.5-4.5 USM. Tripod that I use is Hakuba S-4500. Not to forget several compact flash cards (I have 32 GB for the RAW format images and movies, and also several 4 GB flash cards just in case). On a longer trips I always take my computer and external drive for extra back-ups.Feedback
Help your model to relax and trust you. Guide him/her through a process and take lots of images. One will certainly work! If it doesn't - send the model to me!
