I stumbled across this scene while trying to capture a sunrise shot of that gorgeous view from Tunnel View in Yosemite National Park. As I impatiently waited for the sun to rise, I noticed this low-hanging fog sweeping through the Valley, creating an almost surreal type of atmosphere. I quickly changed my lens to allow for a more narrow field of view and began shooting at 135mm. This focal length enabled me to hone in on the fog swirling through the trees in the distance, creating a sense of emotion and mood. Settings: Aperture: f/9 ISO: 100 Exposure: 6/10Editing
Post processing was a cinch as the beauty of the image really spoke for itself. I adjusted the lighting in Photoshop, added a bit of warmth and saturation, and slightly intensified the fog using the dodge and burn toolIn my camera bag

Sometimes the best picture is unexpected and unplanned. Always look around while working a scene, and try different settings. The best shot may be right in front of you!
