I like the character of this shot and the foreground and background colors that frame the bird. He had food in his beak.

I back lit this beautiful flower to bring out the subtle tones within the flower for a dramatic effect.

Took a walk along Sam's Lake and saw these beautiful flowers with busy bees darting from flower to flower. My tripod came in handy on this adventure.

I was going for contrast in this one.

The contrast in nature is fascinating.

I saw these 2 young children in their red and yellow coats and just had to take their picture as they enjoyed their treats.

I was going for a stained glass effect.

Taken at the D.C. Zoo. The natural blue tones in the background made for the perfect compliment to the Meerkats color.

Dung Beetle along the trail at Seminole State Park in Texas. Quite interesting watching him try to dig his hole big enough to get that dung ball into.

These beauties have so much character on many levels within it.

Loved the look of this favorite local spot for eating.
