Behind The Lens

Location
This lovely, little, meandering Nanaimo creek was taken in passing, off the back roads (Jinglepot area) of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada on Vancouver Island at the end of June 2008 - I found it was definitely a car stopper! Difficult to find a place to park anywhere near by, but worth the trouble, as it was picture perfect.
Time
It was early morning on a slightly overcast day.
Lighting
The light on the creek & into the forest was perfect this time of day, on a partly cloudly day, bringing ones attention to it's beauty as you passed by.
Equipment
Hand held Nikon D60, Nikon Lens was Nikon AF-S 28-300mm
Inspiration
Sometimes my eye catches things as I'm driving and passing by! It's worth the extra time to turn around and go back! :)
Editing
No, I like to take my photos as I see them, using the nature's natural light and time of day :)
In my camera bag
Nikon D60, Nikon Lens was Nikon AF-S 28-300mm, and a smaller lens which I use less often
Feedback
Wait for the right time of day ... around dawn and dusk create the more surreal and/or beautiful natural photographs, without having to alter them in any way :)
