For me subjects jump out according to the light. The light coloured ground here casts light into the shadows allowing me to catch this little girl and her hat, she entranced me with her red hair and little turned up nose. She was out with her grandmother, loving life.

I Genuinely love the candor of this shot of this little girl NATURALLY being a child because usually "kid/children" photo's I've seen on here often give a contrived impression or the forced schmaltzy idea of cute in being a kid which makes it generic or cheap or off putting with inauthenticity. Your capture is charming because you caught this little one genuinely being herself...a regular innocent, unfiltered child being a kid & the true essence of herself. For me, you truly honored what it means to be a little kid & appreciated the individuality of the child's personality which made your shot more endearing & the subject, herself more interesting. I'm not too captivated by kid/children shots typically but yours stood out for me. it's honest capture of the true nature of being a genuine, regular kid with the insight to know that essential quality alone can be & IS a far more fascinating, profound & enchanting image/moment for people to stop, reflect, enjoy & relate to...Kudos to you!
