I was visiting the Maui Tropical Plantation and came across some old gears from the sugar mill. I asked one of the employees what they were going to do with the gears and I was told that they were going to be used as handrails for the little bridge they were putting in. I thought it was a wonderful way to reuse and keep the history of the sugar mill alive.
