I took this photo when i went in a sort of honeymoon to Douro, Portugal.Time
I can't remember quite well when i took it, cause i was like a moving camera all day shooting to everything I liked afraid of missing the "spirit" of Douro, but I would guess in the afternoon.Lighting
I remember perfectly thinking "my god, this light over this leafs and water is just perfect". I don't have a professional knowledge about photography but I just looked that way and followed my gut.Equipment
This was shot with my humble Sony cyber-shot DSC-HX50.Inspiration
Me and my husband were just walking, in plain winter, freezing, and those brown and yellow leafs lightened by that beautiful sun reflecting on the water and surrounded by that green "jovial" tree just transported me...Editing
I didn't do any post processing because as I am not very familiered with it I was afraid of ruining the photo that I already think is beautiful.In my camera bag
As I am still learning about photography and experimenting, I haven't spent much in equipment so I just pack my Sony DSC-HX50, a small and adjustable tripod and an extra battery (bought another, never know when needed)Feedback
Douro, northern Portugal is a very beautiful place to visit during the vineyards, but I only had the chance to go there in January, when everything is quiet, but I just took my best advantage of it, since it was not filled with tourists, I could appreciate the landscape people free and with that wonderful light. I also in some way tried to use the tree as a frame to highlight the landscape, because otherwise felt like missing some colour, and the result is that is one of my favorite photos that I can't get tired of looking at.
