"Mirror 1am"
Well after leaving the house in pouring rain that continued the entire trip up into the mountains, I sat and waited. After awhile the rain turned to drizzle, turned to nothing.
I began shooting in the drizzle that finally ceased, and I was able to get several shots I was happy with. On the way back down the mountain I decide to stop at Jumbo Lake and "attempt" a reflection image. Figuring I would have to use artificial light to accomplish this, I grabbed some lights and the rest of my gear, and headed down to the lake. As my eyes adjusted and I got closer to the lake, I realized that City of Grand Junction, Colorado would provide all the light I needed. The light pollution from town joined the natural airglow above the lake in a "half and half mix" of light pollution and natural green glow that reflected in the lake beautifully.
Just a hint of artificial light was used to illuminate the grass along the shore for effect.
Shot on the Grand Mesa-Colorado.
