Location
I have a small flower garden at the end of my back entrance.Time
This was taken mid-morning just as the heavy rains were stopping.Lighting
It was very overcast, a dark, dreary day.Equipment
I used a Fuji S4000, which has a 30x optical zoom. No tripod or flash was used, just natural light. I laid on my side on the wet walkway to get the proper angle. If you won't get a little wet or cold, you're not serious about taking pictures.Inspiration
I am constantly looking for anything extraordinary or different. Something out of place. I like seeing something different.Editing
This photo was only cropped, to remove the elements that detracted from drawing the eye to this flower. In my camera bag
At the time when this was shot, I normally only included extra batteries and a spare memory card. I also usually have a monopod with me.Feedback
I believe a person should shoot what they themselves like to see. There are usually many people that will like the same things. Don't try to take photos that please others, shoot what you like, please yourself.
