Ever wonder what a happy waxwing looks like? It is this. It has been a hot and very dry spring. We finally got our sprinklers fixed and turned them on this afternoon. The little tree next to one was full of waxwings thoroughly enjoying the shower. Bouncing and flapping their wings happily. By the time I got my camera there was just this one fellow left getting wet and cooling off.
