Location
I captured this while on a Photography trip with 2 mates. We hired a campervan and traveled the south island of New Zealand for a week. This was the Tutoko River on the way back from Milford Sound. I bit of patience was required here as we were on a suspension bridge so we had to stay still while capturing the long exposureTime
It was around 2pm as we were driving back from Milford Sound, stopping the van for whatever caught our eye.Lighting
All natural light. Lucky it was overcast as it was the middle of the afternoonEquipment
I had my Canon 6D with the 24-105mm f4 and a Hoya ND400 filter n my Manfrotto Tripod.Inspiration
I was in New Zealand... everywhere you look gives you inspiration, but with this one, I just loved the water flowing over the rocks.Editing
Just Lightroom sliders mainly. Dropping the Highlight, bring of the shadows. Bit of contrast and clarity. That sort of thingIn my camera bag
My Canon 6D. I also have a Canon 1V if I want to use film which I rarely use, I should probably use it more. I have 4 lens, the 24-105mm f4, the 70-200mm f2.8 IS II, the 50mm f1.8 and I recently added the 16-35mm f2.8II. Manfrotto Tripod, a Canon 430ex II speedlite & a Yongnuo 560-III Speedlite. I think thats it, well the big stuff anyway. I also have a collection of ND and Polariser FiltersFeedback
Get up early and do your research. Plan well and most of the work is done when it comes to landscape photos. Preparation also gives you more confidence get get the shots you are chasing and there are a lot of resources out there to help photographers. And after you have done all that, just get out there and start taking Pics. :)
