A pedestrian street in Stockholm simply known as "The Tunnel Street". Often occupied by musicians, the street has wonderful acoustics and can often be quite special to enter.

Location
The photo is taken in a almost hidden street stretching between Sveavägen and Malmskilnadsgatan in Stockholm, Sweden. The street, simply called Tunnelgatan or Tunnel Street in English, is normally crowded with pedestrians and often filled with the music of various street musicians. Being there alone in such a quiet and empty moment is therefore quite strange.Time
I really enjoy this image because I had made several visits to this location wanting to capture it completely empty. Before capturing this empty moment I had made visits early in the morning and late in the evening but failing every time to capture a moment without pedestrians. This capture was made in a rather random visit around noon and just for a split second the tunnel cleared.Lighting
The tunnel is beautifully lit with evenly distributed lamps casting their light up into the ceiling of the tunnel. The lights help to guide the viewers eyes to the centre of the photograph and add even more depth to the endless tunnel.Equipment
This photograph was shot with a Nikon D600 and a 18 - 105 mm crop lens.Inspiration
I love photos of symmetry and leading lines. I therefore wanted to find a location where I could capture leading lines that appeared to be stretching into infinity. This tunnel was perfect for that.Editing
I normally do some post-processing to my photographs. For me a lot of the enjoyment from getting the perfect photograph comes from spending time with it in the post-processing. For this particular shot a played around with the contrasts a bit and tried to emphasise the bold yellow colour of the walls. In my camera bag
I always carry my Nikon D600 camera with me. Most of the time I like to grab my 28-300mm Nikkor lens with me because it is so versatile. My favourite lens however is my 50mm 1.4f Nikkor lens. It's super sharp and perfect for street photography. For longer trips a carry a Velbon tripod and of course some extra batteries and memory cards.Feedback
Patience is key for a shot like this. Sure there are many streets with a long view and leading lines stretching far into the distance, but getting the shot without any distractions can be difficult, especially if you are in a densely populated area. Once you've got your moment, fire away, but remember to think about where you want to draw the viewers eyes. In my case I wanted the viewers attention to be to the centre of the image and I wanted all lines to lead the viewer to the end of the tunnel. Therefore I positioned the camera in level with the tunnel, immediately drawing attention to the depth of the image. The longer you stare the longer the tunnel seems.
