A beautiful evening at sunset in early May.Lighting
For me the best light is natural light. I tend to enjoy photographs that don't use staged lighting. I'm sure my views in this will change when I add lighting equipment to my inventory one day.Equipment
I used my Canon 7D, a Tamron 17?50mm f/2.8 XR Di?II LD Aspherical Lens with a Hoya PRO1 circular polarizer filter.Inspiration
This photograph was while walking my dog Kodi one evening. I don't usually take my camera along but the weather and cloud patterns were shaping up for a nice sunset. The path I walk on lines up nicely with the sun this time of year and was where I planed to set up my tripod and get a few shots. As I was walking up a hill I noticed the sun shining through some of the dandelions on the side of the path. I've seen a few shots like this one and thought I would give it a try. I had to lay on my stomach in order to get low enough to line it up. This created the most challenging part of getting the shot as my 100 pound dog thought this meant it was time to play and was jumping on me as I took the picture.Editing
I added some contrast and did small lighting adjustments in Photo Shop Elements 13.In my camera bag

Always be ready to take the shot you wen't planning to take. Learn you camera settings and when to use them. This will help tendentiously in fast changing light like sunsets. Don;t be scared to ask questions to other photographers. (unless they are working) Most people love to share there knowledge with other enthusiastic photographers. I don't have the time or money for classes now so I soak up as much info as I can form others. YouTube tutorials are also a big help.
