very good post-treatment, of course despite that people call that a shot it is an image made from a picture.

This photo was taken in the red kite feeding centre in Brecon. I am self taught and am always learning with every photo I take, there is nothing better than coming away with a photo you can stand back and say I did that.Time
That day I must of taken a few hundred photos there were so many red kites you could probably put your camera on burst and swing it around your head and you would have got a photo of a red kite. As it was my first time taking a photo of birds in flight it was an uphill struggle trying to set the camera up right but with a lot of trial and error, mostly error, I started to get the shots I was after; it must of been about 4pm.Lighting
The lighting was hard to deal with as one second it would be dark and cloudy and next it would be blaring sun. I was trying to compensate for the light levels and not having that much knowledge other that watching a quick YouTube video before I left it was quite a challenge. Towards the end of the day the sky started to clear and the sun dropped behind the trees and the light levels started to stay the same.Equipment
This camera I used for this photo was my first ever DSLR camera and I used a 200mm lens, I love that camera because it opened up a new world of photography for me.Inspiration
I like to try new types of photography to widen my knowledge and skills with my camera, I had seen a photo on a photography book and thought that was something I could do.Editing
I did quite a bit of editing in Photoshop, a lot of trial end error again and the amount of Googling I did to try and work out how to use the tools in Photoshop was unreal! In my camera bag
In my bag of tricks I have a Nikon D7100 which I saved 3 months wages for, I also have a 105mm Nikon lens, sigma 10mm-20mm, one of my baby's a Nikon macro 105mm and a neewer macro TTL ring flash. I also have a spare battery, some spare memory cards and lens cleaning kit, some snacks and drinks in case I get hungry.Feedback
The only advice I have is what I have always been told and that Is 'to try, you can't do anything wrong as long as you've tried' and to forget about what other people think when you are out with your camera, they just don't see this amazing world through your eyes. Photography is amazing and photos can take your breath away. The most important thing is to have fun while your doing it.
