Pleasant Valley at the eastern edge of California's Coastal Mountain Range, surrounded by hills and ranches. We drove down CA 33 past two prisons and the state hospital, (the first one built in California in 50 years) and came upon this view which compelled me to pull over and attempt to catch the fleeting light juxtaposed against the dark storm clouds, and the lighter ones breaking up at the top of the frame.
