Behind The Lens

Location

This Photo was taken in Mid-October on a lake in the north woods of Wisconsin. It was at the water's edge in a very small bay.

Time

It was mid-morning on a dreary day after the rain subsided.

Lighting

Natural lighting only. no fill or reflectors. perfect conditions

Equipment

The space was tight and the shot was taken hand held. Used a Nikon D800 with a 24-70zoom f2.8 set at 70mm.exposure f22 @ 1/13sec.. ISO 200.

Inspiration

I noticed this little enclosure. It had a very oriental look to it, especially with the reeds. I asked the model if she'd be willing to try the water. it was a excellent fit. Maggie did the rest.

Editing

straight up. minor post processing

In my camera bag

two Nikon bodies D800 and 7100. sturdy tripod. 60mm macro,24-70mm zoom, 35mm prime WA.

Feedback

Be patient and carefully view your surroundings. Previsualize how the nude may be integrated into the landscape. And give the model a little freedom to express her feelings.
