Behind The Lens

Location
This was taken at a large commercial studio I used to work from in Digbeth, Birmingham.
Time
It would have been taken some time during the night. I was at the studio one night, bored, and the model asked to pop over to kill some time as she was also without anything to do. She brought along a huge case filed with clothing and props - the shoot went on for around six hours and only ended because all of my batteries were flat.
Lighting
I shot this using a mixture of soft boxes and a large parabolic umbrella
Equipment
Nikon D5100 Nikkor 18-200mm lens Alienbee lighting
Inspiration
Rachel, the model. I have to credit her for all of the images in this set...and there are so many of them. The lighting was down to me, the style of the images themselves were down to her own ideas and craziness.
Editing
I used Photoshop to tidy the floor and some minor touching up, but back when this was taken I did very little editing; and this model, being so photogenic needs very little editing too
In my camera bag
Nowadays, I have a Nikon D800 50mm 1.8 lens 28-70mm lens 15-30mm lens Neewer speedlight Wireless trigger Manfrotto triood
Feedback
Have fun with the shoot, talk and laugh, it makes such a difference and shows in the final images. Also don't be afraid to experiment with your lighting and add a shadow or two.
