A juvenile male king parrot going through its transformation. Eventually its head and chest will be totally red with white 'flashes' on its wings. These are beautiful and intelligent birds and we are fortunate to have a family of these visit us regularly and bring their young where we live in the Gold Coast hinterland in Queensland, Australia.
